I often get asked about the changes that have taken place in Saudi Arabia since 2016, both from a social and geopolitical perspective, and how people’s perceptions and lives have altered due to these changes.

Giving an objective answer isn’t straightforward, as the changes are numerous, profound, and their impacts vary from one person to another. However, I recently encountered an article by Ali Shihabi, an author and commentator on Saudi affairs, which effectively explains and answers many of the frequently asked questions about Saudi Arabia. His article also addresses criticism from a Saudi standpoint.

What I find compelling about his text is how it encompasses all queries about Saudi Arabia in a way that outsiders can comprehend the situation in its context. Consequently, any judgments the readers forms will be based on factual information.
