It is a fact that Saudi Arabia’s market is the biggest market in the GCC and young population is growing but today they are not only buying luxury goods. On the contrary,as enterneurship among is on the rise and with a more business-friendlier environment many young people have created their own labels wether it is clothes, foods, handcrafts, etc, establishing new goods lines that meet their taste.
During the pandemic and until now some luxury goods have been sold out in Saudi Arabia. The almost 18 months travel bans gave Saudis no alternative except to shop inside the country.
For the future it is unclear how Saudi consumers towards shopping will change as the 15% tax imposed in 2018 has made lot of people rethink their shopping behaviour.
